In June of 2023, CFRN-AM 1260 went off the air. It was a sad day for sports fans in Edmonton and area, leaving a sizable gap in coverage for sports both near and far. It was this door closing which led to a series of windows being opened for Dustin Nielson, Lieutenant Eric, Matt Iwanyk and Tom Gazzola to start fresh as Edmonton Sports Talk (.com).
Edmonton Sports Talk aims to speak to and with the people of the community, sharing stories and insights into both the local Edmonton sports scene and beyond. Bringing a focus and light not only on the heavy-hitters but also teams and players that call Edmonton home.
The online station streams LIVE Monday-Friday starting with The Nielson Show (6-9am/MT) followed by The EST Hangout (9-11am/MT) as the rest of the day will be populated by various other shows and podcasts such as The Oil Stream, The Lock Shop, 2 Guys & A Goalie, The Fantasy Football Extravaganza and more!
